Music has been inspiration for mankind from the every beginning of the civilization. Today, independent music has become popular among the people and we can read various independent music reviews on the Internet. Across the world we celebrate many different cultures and festivals with different songs and music. Since I am a great admirer of good music, I keep my eyes on the sources from where I can get information and knowledge regarding to music.
However, the field for the musicians and singers who sings or works independently has grown vastly down the years. Today, we have several platforms where they can share their work. One of the most genuine platforms in the market is the online musical sites. In these sites, we can read various articles, reviews, interviews and also several independent band news in different musical sites. Northern Transmission is one of the best music websites that offer us with detailed information about many different bands, singers and musicians. This site regularly put up articles, reviews, interviews, news etc for the readers.
Recently, I read an article on the Indie-pop trio Hospitality in the site Northern Transmission and their self-titled album Hospitality. The article said that the album got released early 2009, and it is a reflection on youth and living in New York. It also stated that, “Band’s influences include Elvis Costello and Kate Bush however, their sound lies somewhere between the clever ditties and twee-pop vibe of Belle & Sebastian or Talulah Gosh with an added indie twist placing them in the now.”
